When I first learned about fasting, I was hooked.
Yes . . . it meant I had to stop eating – at least for short periods. And while Initially even the intermittent fasting was a challenge, I soon settled into a rhythm and things started to change.
When you stop eating, the body goes into a deep healing mode. Fasting stimulates growth hormone and stem cell production to make repairs at the cellular level. It triggers a process called “autophagy”, the cleaning out of harmful cellular debris. Surprisingly, It gives you more energy and supports the genetic pathways that slow aging and keep you youthful and resilient.
