“The Prolon FMD is probably the best way to start the regenerative and self-healing process with minimal or potentially no side effects.” Dr. Valter Longo
Wired for Survival
Day #5 . . . Every organism on earth is wired for survival.
Bees have their own heat and food sources to survive brutally cold winters.
Bears go into a state of deep sleep called a “torpor” when food is scarce in order to conserve energy.
Salamanders change color to blend into their surroundings to avoid being scarfed up by some hungry predator.
Even plants have mechanisms for survival. The black walnut tree, for instance, emits toxins from its root system to kill off encroaching intruders.
For us, what happens in the body when food is scarce (or when you fast) is also a survival mechanism – one that supports deep healing, healthy longevity, improved metabolic and brain health, improved blood sugar control, loss of excess fat, younger looking skin, and extended lifespan.
Clean-up Complete
What has happened during these 5 days of fasting with Prolon is regeneration. Old and damaged cells have been cleared out and recycled and new building materials like stem cells and growth hormone are recruited for repair.
You might think of the process as a time-reversal, as you’re essentially creating a biologically and functionally younger performing body.
Most who go through this 5-day fast feel different. Stronger. More energized and focused.
Slowing the Aging Process
David Sinclair, Ph.D., Director of the Center for the Biology of Aging at Harvard, speaks of the potential of fasting as “resetting the age of the cells” and slowing the aging process – the surprising impact of fasting.
“It’s one thing to slow down aging; it’s quite another to be able to repeatedly reverse the age of a tissue.” David Sinclair, PhD.
Brain Re-Sparks!
Dale Bredesen, MD, author of The End of Alzheimer’s, speaks of the “healing magic” of fasting – especially for brain health . . .
Ketosis, explains Bredesen, is optimal for brain function because it triggers the production of ketones which stimulate an important neuron – and a synapse-supporting molecule called BDNF – brain-derived neurotrophic factor. When the brain runs low in this important molecule, it responds by producing amyloid – the sticky plaques that build up in the brain and block the neural connections that form our memories.
Anti-Cancer, Anti-Disease
Dr. Dominic D’Agostino, a leading expert in the field of research on cancer, fasting, and nutritional ketosis, advises therapeutic fasting from 3 to 5 days 2-3 times a year. The deep cellular cleansing that occurs during this time may reduce the risk of cancer.
Studies have also found that fasting improves our cellular resistance to chemotherapy, which may help to mitigate the harmful effects of chemotherapy treatments.
So . . . . what’s next?
By Day #5, the last day of fasting, the body is generally in a full state of ketosis, fat burning, and autophagy (cellular cleansing).
Tomorrow, Day #6, while not a fasting day, is a “Transition Day” – one in which you ease back into a regular diet with a little caution and care.
Your body has just spent 5 days cleaning out and refurbishing you. Your stomach is pretty much empty, so you want to go light and easy on food on Day 6.
Rebuilding a Younger, Stronger You
We recommend focusing on foods with high nutrient profiles and easily digestible: salads, soups, vegetables, whole grains, healthy smoothies, berries (especially blueberries – organic preferred), healthy fats (extra virgin olive oil), and what we commonly think as as a Mediterranean diet.
It’s also important to include ample amounts of clean, filtered water. It helps to cleanse and improve cellular communication while your body’s at work building a new refined you!
So there you have it. Five days with me and Prolon. A body reboot and restoration!
Let’s do this together!
We’re fasting again in October. Although this is a program you can do on your own (and if you choose that route, I’m always here to guide you).
If you’re in for October, go here to sign up and join us for 5 days that just may change your life.
Until then . . .
In love & health ♥

Thank you so much for walking me through each day, while I fast. I got a bad bug, but still was able to fast. I was able to intake more water and what saved me was the L-drink. I did eat two oranges on separate days because of how awful I was feeling and only able to drink small amounts of the soup. Overall, the entire experience was unimaginable. I did it before, but this was very different, emotionally. Now, I can reset and I’m going to take on the eating type of Mediterranean style. I have been vegetarian, vegan and plant base. I didn’t have energy so I started eating turkey and chicken for protein and the much needed energy. Mediterranean it is!!! Not to mention a Four Year Cancer Survivor.
Hi Monique – I have to apologize in a big way! For some reason yours and other comments were not coming through and I never saw this! So much for technology! I am so sorry. Good for you for sticking it out and seeing this through. You’re a trooper! It’s very hard as a vegan or vegetarian to get adequate B vitamins – thus the fatique. The emotional side of fasting is the other piece of this that is truly eye-opening. I realized the first time I went through it how much I used food as a diversion from my work – the ultimate procrastination tool! I hope you’ll join us again. Thanks again for reaching out – loved hearing your story! E
